Church Marketing Team Training

When developing our vision and our services in providing internet marketing for the church it became quite clear we cannot manage Church’s and Christian organization’s websites' full time. If we were to fully manage your Church's website and social media we would be able to help a few faith-based organizations while quickly exhausting our time and resources.

Why We Train Your Christian Marketing Team

There are a lot of positives in our approach to training your Church's internet marketing team. We are able to help more Christian organizations, while also ensuring the marketing is performed in accordance with our philosophy on internet marketing and the Church. The opportunity in training and equipping your team, and you will always have professional internet marketers as a resource for the ever-changing digital world.

The final and most important aspect is we will be able to create a community between Churches and among believers naturally through service and group training. In our experience when someone serves alone there is a high likelihood of pride and discontentment to rise to the surface. Community and serving together along with accountability in a service area that is extremely public is vital for your Christian Non-profit internet marketing team's success.

Choosing Your Church Marketing Team

We are not looking for experience or knowledge, but people who are humble, display their humility and are exceptionally willing. We do require that the person you choose is already serving in your Church or Christian organization. This will help the training and marketing process. We will not be able to teach them about your church and they need to be invested in what they will be communicating online.

God will undoubtedly provide someone to fill this position. We aim to first train and equip, and then we will teach them how to train as well. This will allow for your team to grow and be more effective. Having an internal marketing team is vital for three reasons:

  • All the responsibility does not reside in one person.
  • If a team member leaves there is someone who is already aware of the whole process.
  • Having a team makes serving better because there is a community.

Our goal is for your Church marketing team to have a minimum of two team members by the end of the first year. As your team grows and develops it will have the end mission of having representatives of each ministry in your online marketing team. This will make sure all information is communicated

If a team member is not found by the third month of us working with you we will have to evaluate if we can continue helping your organization. If your team is very receptive in providing us with the information to continue to move forward with your project we will most likely be able to see the project through to completion. But know internet marketing is an ongoing process.

Equipping & Teaching Your Church’s Internet Marketing Team

When we have our kick-off meeting we would love if you already had someone who is willing to serve. We will be able to train them more effectively if they are there from the start of your website's design or optimization. They will learn as your website is developed, your social media accounts are set up and your culture is communicated.

We will provide them with tools they can utilize in managing your social media, updating your website and helping communicate your Church’s culture to your congregation. Remember, Church marketing is not the same as business marketing. We want to ensure your team is utilizing online tools effectively and Biblically.

Providing Ongoing Support

We will continue to be in contact with your team lead after the training and online set up is complete. This is to create community and to help you continually. We will be providing support and meeting with them to encourage them as well as disciple them.

In the near future, we will also have quarterly meetups where the local Church’s internet marketing team leads and second in command will be invited to an event where we will train on a marketing topic, train on a biblical principle in serving, have a prayer time and of course, drink lots of coffee and get to know each other.

Letter From Founder To New Trainees

We are a pretty fun bunch and we can't wait to start working with you! I would recommend going into this process with no expectations. Simply be willing to learn. We have a wealth of information from our team members that still blows my mind. Know you will not know everything and you don't have to because you will always have our team to fall back on with difficult projects.

What you Will Learn

A little bit of everything. You will learn basic web design skills, internet marketing and our approach to internet marketing as Christians. As you grow your design, marketing, social media and online skills, I'm sure you will find interest in certain areas and dislike others. For me, my strength is in internet marketing like SEO and PPC, while my weakness is web development and design. I can do them, I'm just not as good as our designer. My dislike lies in social media. But my team member Ty is a pro at social. That is why you ChristLink to help complement your weaknesses and make your Christian organization's web presence as effective as possible.

Your Future As A Team Member

As you grow and learn skills in internet marketing and web design, keep an eye on our open positions.
