Happy New Year!
I’m excited to bring you into this year with some 2020 vision and what is going on this month! This is our very first newsletter and I will be sure to make it a habit of writing these monthly. Newsletters are kind of a new thing for me as I branch into becoming a nonprofit (more on that below). I’m used to working with businesses where people could care less about what is going on internally, but for a nonprofit, people want to know what is happening in the organization they support.
On The Horizon of 2020
Coming this year in 2020 we are ready to bring on Christ Link team members to make our mission more effective. You do not have to be an internet marketer or search engine optimization guru to help us in our mission. We are looking for writers, photographers and people who simply want to see our mission succeed. Our meet up is going to fun, information and come with no obligation. Reserve your spot for the February team meeting.
Looking forward we are also in the process of getting established as a nonprofit which is so exciting! This is probably going to take a bit of time since we vet our clients and applicants, but once we are receiving financial support we will be able to grow and become more effective as a nonprofit.
The other thing we will be doing in the upcoming months is providing more resources and information about internet marketing. You can read these on our blog. The other resource we will be providing is our first client training meet up. This is to be determined and probably won’t happen for some time, but keep it on your radar all the same.
December 2019 In Review
December 2019 was such a busy, eventful and fun month. I have no idea where this month went. This past December we launched a new site design, transferred two sites to new hosts and two completely new URLs along with changing the organization’s name, location and other information. Internally we have been preparing for this year 2020. We updated our process page along with creating a portfolio page and an events page. I was also interviewed as part of a podcast by Adam McLaughlin from Church Marketing Ideas. We’ll share that with you as soon as they release it.
December Client Work
Here is just a little snapshot of the larger projects we completed, launched and worked on this month.
CEF of Schuylkill County Project
We launched CEF of Schuylkill County’s website redesign last month! Check out their new site and learn more about their amazing ministry in Schuylkill county. I’ve also put together a page in our portfolio that reviews the old CEF of Schuylkill county website and will eventually become a case study where we keep track of our search engine optimization efforts that leads to more website traffic.
Jewel Women’s Center Project
Another nonprofit we have been working with is Jewel Women’s Center (formerly Real Options and CareNet). We did not design their website – that’s why it looks so good 😉 – but we are helping them and their team with their internet marketing. Definitely check out their client website as well as the Friends of Jewel Women’s Center website to learn more about their ministry. There is so much heart and love behind this ministry, and that is definitely needed in the area they work in.
This December we transferred both of their websites to new hosting as well as switching them over to new URLs. The URL change was because of the rebranding and the hosting change was because the design company that had built the site self-hosted it. This means the design company was able to charge Jewel WC for any site changes or edits in the back end of the site. Having them switched over now allows for Christ Link to optimize the websites, make site changes and create emails for their team.
Other Projects In Process
We are working on redesigning both CMTS Ministries website and Independent Church’s website. For CMTS ministries we definitely need prayer and assistance in finding volunteer writers to create content about their ministries since there isn’t a lot of site content presently. For Independent Church’s site we have a large task in organizing hundreds of site pages and consolidating them as we prepare to start their redesign. From creating their logo to removing the names and faces of missionaries we have a huge opportunity to help make their impactful ministry even more effective and efficient in garnering support for their work.
If you are interested in volunteering, sign up for the volunteer meeting that will be held on February 29th.
Thank You!
December and 2019 as a whole were very eventful and I want to thank all of you for the support you continually give. You are all wonderful and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for 2020. As always, be praying for our organization, our team members and the organizations we are working with.
