This month our team members and the non-profits that we get to work with learned about site updates and plug-ins. Christ Link T-shirts were given to the volunteers and team members too. If you see someone wearing one, ask them about it!
What Christ Link Has Been Doing
We’ve been very busy recently, and we are going to make sure to share a lot of the different things we are doing. Keep an eye out on social media, or be sure. to subscribe to our email blast about everything Christ Link is doing with and for the nonprofits, we work with!
- Christ Link is going to be doing an abridged year one training program hosted at CMTS to catch people up so that everyone is at the same starting point come September 2023. This is, so our training aligns with CMTS’s gap year program Equip, and our team and their students join together with the same schedule. Pray that if God would have you volunteer and become part of Christ Link that He would start working on your heart now!
- New infographics and pages have been created for Jewel Women’s Center that will increase the opportunities to find support and an alternative to abortion. CEF has new pages on its website as well!
- ICII has a fundraising banquet at the beginning of November, and the marketing team within Christ Link has been helping to promote it! Christ Link will also be working to provide another website for ICII for their Kenya mission.
- We also spoke at the Jewel Women’s Center Arise banquet, which was very successful. We had the opportunity to share how marketing is integral to their organization’s impact and effectiveness.

Our October Prayer Requests
Please continue to be praying for God to use our organization and for Him to be at the forefront of everything we do. Some of these prayer requests are the same as last month but we continue to go to God in prayer about these things because He wants us to communicate with Him!
September 2022 prayer requests:
- Our next board meeting is fully focused on our 1 year, 5 year, and 10 year plan! This is exciting, but we want to grow and serve God well. Ask for us to have wisdom as we make these decisions and plan for developing 2023 fundraising, team events, overall growth, and sustainability.
- Pray for the board to grow by a few more members in the next few months.
- Pray for finances to purchase supplies like paper, ink, business cards, and brochures. We will need these since we plan to go to churches and speak about Christ Link. (Donate to Christ Link!)
- Pray for God to be developing leaders within the Christ Link team. Also, that He would put people in place on the teams where they are needed and where they should be serving.
- As the team develops in training and skills that they would work in unity. This month we have the team getting together to plan and strategize how we will work together. Everyone is presently getting along and having fun working to grow Christian organizations’ websites, we want our team’s roots to grow deep and for there to always be unity between team members.
- Lastly, as this year wraps up, please pray that people will be called to volunteer with Christ Link. Pray and ask God if he would have you participate with us!
October’s Meetup: Site updates and plug-ins
At our training, we discussed site updates and plug-ins and how to understand the big picture of how websites work. We covered what a server is, CMS (which stands for content management system) and how a URL works. We covered the topics of how websites can lag or have security issues, HTML, CSS code and plug-ins, and how updates for a website can feel like an endless battle.
It was a lot of information, but it’s a huge blessing that Christ Link can provide this training to people who will then be able to provide help to Christian non-profits at no cost. It enables them to use their money to share Christ with even more people.
The thought of learning all there is to design can be really overwhelming, but Wes emphasized that it takes time and practice, and continued learning. We’re not aiming for perfection, just continuous improvement.
October’s Board Meeting
October’s board meeting was held at Wes’s house and was an awesome time of fellowship and encouragement to see where Christ Link is now and where we are heading. Hannah, one of the first volunteers with Christ Link, was able to attend the board meeting and offered valuable input, ideas, and help. Check out her newsletter and consider supporting her in her mission work at CMTS!
We reviewed a lot of Christ Link’s internal documents and made necessary edits. We reviewed the brochures that Christ Link will be ordering soon in order to be able to have information that we can hand out when we visit churches to promote the opportunities that Christ Link provides.
