Christ Link Newsletter Kicking Off 2023

It is January, warmer than most,  which I am thankful for. This month we are leaping into the year starting up our year 1 team trainings, meeting up with the returning team members, and kicking off the year with an excellent board meeting.

We are so excited about all that is happening, how God is using each of us and what He has in store for this year.

What Is Happening At Christ Link This January?

Below is a bunch of stuff that is going on and a way you can pray for us and our team!

Christ Link Board Meeting

We had a great time at our board meeting discussing this year’s goals and the continued vision for Christ Link. I’m sorry we forgot to take a picture! Last year our goals were to grow our team and to provide better services/help to the nonprofits we work with right now.

It was a building year that paid off. We met our goal!

Christ Link In 2021:

• 2 Team Members.
• 7 Board Members
• We also helped get some nonprofit’s websites built but were able to achieve minimal ongoing SEO and marketing help.

Christ Link In 2022:

• 8 Team Members
• 7 Board Members
• 11,485 words of SEO optimized content written for nonprofits.
• Around 20-30 graphics created for nonprofits.
• Assisted in an Event marketing campaign
• We met with each of the nonprofits (5) to review where their digital marketing is at, advise on the next steps and develop tasks to achieve their marketing goals.

All volunteers returned to serve again in 2023 (we operate on a 1-year commitment), which is a huge blessing!

Doing this resulted in increases in traffic and leads for the nonprofits to help them reach the lost in their specific mission.

We are so happy with what we achieved in 2022 and want to more than double it in 2023! We are going to do this by continuing to grow our team members, specifically our writing team. There are so many ways to serve God with your writing skills. One of them being at Christ Link. Contact us to join our team!

Christ Link Team

I (Wesley) am so thankful for the team members of Christ Link. They are the ones making this happen and serving to help drive the mission of the ministries we work with. We also forgot to take a picture at this meeting, we’ll get better at remembering this soon!

Our team is developing a graduate group, a core team; we’re really not sure what to call it yet. With our team, we are breaking new ground in Christ Link. While we will still have trainings, we’re developing a unified team that works together to succeed in Christ Link’s mission. We meet to work together every 2 months, and at these meetings we are:

• Developing our team’s unity.
• Developing our month-to-month communications and operations.
• Working on big projects together, serving together is healthy and helps us to spur one and other on. We don’t want out team members to feel alone in their serving.

Each month we will each have our individual tasks to take care of to help the nonprofits we work with.

We’re essentially developing the operations of a marketing company, through a volunteer group that does not see each other every day. While this will be challenging, we know it is possible and we would love for you to pray for us to not only grow, but to grow well.

Year 1 Trainings At CMTS

Because we are in a partnership with CMTS ministry‘s Equip Program our year 1 trainings are at CMTS’s campus which is quite fun because their facilities are perfect for the trainings. We have the Equip students as well as Kyle & Geena Moyer from This Little Light Ministries, the newest nonprofit we are working with!

It is fun to have a small group as we do this year 1 training. It allows us to get up close and personal so we can talk a bit more about the team’s specific training or the strategy for This Little Light Ministry’s marketing and website design.

Prayer Requests

• We are reaching out to churches to speak at and to reach people who would be interested in serving at Christ Link. Please tell your church about us! We have pamphlets with info we would love to share, just ask one of our team members for one so we can grow and better serve God together!
• In connection to the prayer request above that our team would grow!
• We have a few new potential board members coming to our next board meeting that we are very excited about. Pray they are a good fit and if God calls them to serve in this position that they will listen.
• That the nonprofits we are working with would succeed in their mission of reaching the lost. That their needs are met and their workers have unbelievable amounts of energy where they are serving.
