January 2022 Newsletter & Prayer Requests

Christ Link is off to a great start in 2022! Last year after getting approved as an official 501(c)3 nonprofit, we pivoted more of our attention towards building our team and training them. The success of Christ Link depends on volunteers who make it their mission to help Christian organizations with their marketing.

Prayer Requests

Before we get into the details of Christ Link’s internal happenings, we want to send out prayer requests for everyone to be praying for Christ Link’s future and ongoing development.

January 2022 prayer requests:

  • For our team/board to continue growing, and not only for it to grow but for effective followers of Christ to be put in place on the Christ Link team that can help further the mission of Christ Link. Pray there would be continued unity within Christ Link and with our team members (there isn’t any disunity, it is just wise to pray for it).
  • Wisdom for our board as we enter into 2022. A lot of the board’s focus for 2022 is developing plans for fundraising, team events, overall growth, and sustainability.
  • Pray for finances to purchase supplies like paper and ink or fliers. We will need these since we plan to go to churches and speak about Christ Link. (Donate to Christ Link!)
  • For wisdom for our board as we are growing and developing quickly and must grow and develop our program as well.
  • Pray for God to be developing leaders within the Christ Link team.
  • Pray for the nonprofits we work with to be blessed and to grow.

Our First Large Scale Team Meetup

Due to the growth of Christ Link’s first year, we knew we would have to scale Christ Link to make it more effective and efficient. So, this year, instead of small trainings at my home we have large trainings that take place monthly at Pine Grove Community Church.

What Do Our Team Meetups Look Like?

These trainings have our Christ Link Team present as well as our Non Profit/Church representatives. The purpose behind this is to train and equip the marketing managers and directors of the different nonprofits we work with at the same time as our team members.

“I was running around from one organization to the next performing the same training 10 times. This makes it so the nonprofits team members are trained together.”

– Wesley Gehman

Our trainings are a combination of marketing skills and ministry skills. You can train anyone on how to do effective marketing, but if they do not have a heart and love of serving Christ, they won’t remain serving in their church or at the nonprofit.

We also teach ministry skills to our team members to grow them in their leadership and have a servant mindset in serving God. As a result, the nonprofits can feel comfortable growing their marketing team. The additional ministry mindset can help churches and nonprofits retain their marketing team members.

What Our First Large Scale Team Meetup Looked Like

Our first meetup was excellent! We have a team of about 20 people. Ten volunteers and ten from nonprofits we help. Our first training went over the in-person meetups, each person’s personal training plan, and what they will look like moving forward.

The main focus of our meetup is the concept of stepping down into ministry. This concept focuses on how we serve God, why we serve God, and the core fact that it is not about us. Join Christ Link and learn about it firsthand!

Ministry Highlight: Jewel Women’s Center

We also highlighted JewelWC, a ministry we help with their marketing. They have seen continual web growth since we have started working with them in December 2019. In 2021 their PPC ads were started, and we saw a majorly successful first year of Pay-Per-Click advertising to fit their nonprofit’s efforts.

Consider helping Jewel Women’s Center. You can learn more about their mission on their Friend’s Of Jewel Women Center website. Also, be praying for their mission and nonprofit.

Consider Helping Christ Link Grow

There are many ways you can help Christ Link in our mission to help Christian organizations that are sharing the gospel and reaching the lost. One of those ways is by telling people about us.

Share these updates with other Christians and Christian organizations. The more people that know about us and our mission, the more support we will have and the more organizations we will be able to help.
