Serving At Christ Link – Hannah Noecker

Hi! My name is Hannah Noecker and I’d like to tell you about how God has been using me while serving at Christ Link.

Let me just start off by saying this: I am NOT a computer person. My knowledge of computers has been limited to copy and paste shortcuts. When my computer freezes or does something abnormal, my usual solution is to force a shutdown. The battery on my laptop has a tendency to die. Sometimes when I went to try to turn it on and it doesn’t “do the thing”, my brain also has a shutdown moment. Which makes the fact that I’m writing this just a little bit ironic.

Back in February of 2020, I was invited to a meeting to learn about Christ Link. Here we learned about the mission of Christ Link, what could be accomplished through helping Christian organizations with their websites, and how I could join and help. Not knowing what it was, or what I would be getting myself into, I agreed to attend. A year later, here I am, doing computer stuff of all things! To be very honest, I have no idea what I’m doing… it’s kind of great.

I mean, I didn’t know how to properly type a blog or do web design a year ago; I just work at a bakery, okay? Give me a cake, my tools, and a little time and I’ll make you something pretty to look at and great to eat. Yet, here I am volunteering to learn more about web design, web marketing, client management, etc.

Here’s the thing about being clueless though. I can confidently and 100% say that everything I’ve done up until now has all been God. Have I contributed a little? Sure. I overthought 90% of the work I’ve done. I’m overthinking this blog post right now.

But every good thing, every blog post to a client’s website, every graphic made, every minute spent designing a webpage- that has all been Christ working through me. All the glory goes to Him.

So why am I writing this now? Because this could be you! Maybe you have some basic knowledge of computers, maybe you know a little about blogging, or maybe you know what internet marketing even means. If that’s you, please consider praying about volunteering at Christ Link.

If you’ve been looking for a way to be used by God, this might be one of those ways. “But Hannah, I don’t do computer things.” Neither did I! So you can’t use that excuse here. Sorry! My lack of expertise means that you, unfortunately, don’t get to play that card.

One thing is certain if God can use me, He can absolutely use you. To end, I’d like to remind you of 2 Corinthians‬ 12:9‬:

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
