July 2020 Newsletter

It is so warm! Summer is in full swing and after we had the first meetings we were able to hit the ground running this month. Our accomplishments have primarily been internal in setting up our trainings to be more effective. We were all able to apply to a bunch of things required for nonprofit status. Check out what we are doing and subscribe to receive updates about our ministry.

What Is Christ Link Up To?

As we shed the confines of quarantine we were able to help out with some really cool events! Yes, events! Jewel Women Center who we advise and train were having their Jewel Jog this month! We were able to come alongside their ministry and assist them in the online prep for the event. I (Wesley) actually got to run at the event. If you want to race, see me there next year. The coolest thing about the event was our team member Katie Wolfe was able to photograph the event! Our team member Kathryn, who recently joined us, was able to create some blog content for Jewel’s website. This is huge! The content added to the website will enable us to reach more women who are looking or their services. So many cool ways we could serve and help Jewel Women Center these past months. Check out Jewel Women Center and learn more about them.

There are other things going on, but I’m unsure how to communicate them. Essentially, we are helping a bunch of different organizations training their team, meeting with them and building them up. We also have two website redesign projects we are working on. You’ll get to hear about them in the coming months when we launch their site.

I’m so excited! If you want to be part of this, pray for our team, and join us!

Our Team Meeting This Month

Speaking of our team they are really awesome. So my apartment doesn’t have air conditioning and we met up in the blistering heat to sit with our hot laptops and learn about internet marketing. What we taught about was internet marketing as a whole. Essentially I summarized my entire college career in 35 minutes. As we discussed what was taught the team members said how helpful this was in bringing context to the whole of internet marketing. This lesson was foundational in preparing them for being able to take on clients, train clients, and perform internet marketing effectively.

We also had some fun. Our dinner meetings have quickly become dessert meetings which are fine by me. Ice cream is the best thing in the world, especially in 90-degree temperatures. Back to what we’ve been doing. Ty Kiser our team member down in Philly has been working with Katie and training her on social media. They are both a huge part of our team and it is so cool seeing them both grow in their skills.

Hannah Noecker has started learning Google Analytics through their online videos.

Macey and I have been able to meet up so I can teach her web design skills that will play a huge role in the upcoming projects we are working on. She was able to assist in building a few pages on Faith Church’s website.

Join Our Team

This is a personal invitation to you, yes you, the amazing person reading this weird newsletter update. I want to invite you to join our team and to serve at Christ Link to help churches and Christian nonprofits save the loss. We can only impact the lives of more people with more team members so we are praying that need is filled and we are able to impact so many organizations. Help provide and training Christian organizations in online tools that can increase their impact.

What Our Board Is Doing

A lot! We got our board positions filled and a vision for the future last month and now we started making our bylaws, writing up meeting notes and applying for our nonprofit status Woot Woot! And the coolest part is it was only because of them we were able to accomplish this. I am not a legal or business financial savvy person. I can balance my own checkbook and save money, but when it comes to an organization I get nervous and simply ask, “What do I need to pay and why?” But with this team, we were able to apply for our EIN number and just before our meeting at the end of the month we got our Pennsylvania nonprofit application submitted. Please be praying we get accepted and can move forward in the next steps.
