Hello all of you beautiful people!
How was your summer? Any cool vacations? I bet they were actually warm unless you went to Antarctica. Did you enjoy the beautiful weather? I know, I know, I have not been writing you and I apologize. It has been an extremely active summer and I am excited to update you on all of the things we have been doing in Christ Link! Each month when we would have our board meeting and I would give an internal update I would think to myself, “I should really write a newsletter and update our supporters about this,” and I neglected to do so. So now, you are receiving a massive summer summary that will be more like a list of all the things we have been doing.
As I was writing up this newsletter I realized how massive it was. So I’m breaking it into the past few months and will backdate the blog posts and link them here once they are complete. Below the different blog posts (that will be linked to once complete) I wrote out a list/quick summary of different updates and actions taken within Christ Link over the past few months. You can find all the details in the actual blog posts linked below.
Monthly Team Trainings
Our monthly team trainings have been focused on the following topics:
- June: LinkedIn
- July: Marketing As A Whole
- August: Writing Blog Posts
- September: Client Management & Search Console
- October: Google Analytics
We were having in my (Wesley’s) tiny studio apartment, but as we grew and as Nolan and Jenny (two of our board members) took on the task of connecting our team more internally they graciously volunteered their home for our meetings. This has resulted in increased efficiency at meetings and simply a more comfortable atmosphere.
Our team members have been accomplishing some amazing things this summer. Check them out below:
- Hannah and I have been working through redesigning the Christ Link website and redirecting it to more clearly communicate what we do.
- Katie photographed the Jewel Jog, an annual event that one of our clients held in July.
- Our team member Macey has been accepted to multiple colleges and has been playing a huge role in helping bring together the new CMTS website.
- Hannah has been working on her Google Analytics certification and has also been assisting in the CMTS website redesign.
- Katie just started college for graphic design! We are excited for her and so excited she is going to be bringing a whole new level of graphic design expertise into the team.
- Our team member Kathryn has been writing blog content for Jewel Women’s Center.
- We created a video series for our clients that goes over the basic of editing the website to help expedite their training and knowledge.
- Sites we have launched and have been working on the past few months are: CMTS, PGCC & Faith Church.
- We are taking on our biggest project yet with ICII. This is going to be the largest redesign we have to date and it is going to take a large amount of time and attention to detail in order to do it successfully.
Board Meetings
Our board has been working hard towards acquiring our 501(c)3 nonprofit status. Below is what we have accomplished and completed over the past few months:
- Acquired our EIN number.
- Opened A Bank Account.
- Granted Pennsylvania Non-Profit Status.
- Completed/Created By-Laws.
- Set up Internal Structure “Committees” to manage specific aspects of ministry (hiring, vetting clients, and internal team building).
This month we will complete and submit our application for IRS 501(c)3. It is almost complete and we are reviewing before submitting. We are so excited about this! Please pray that it is approved and we are accepted.
Looking to The Future
Already we have been planning for next year on how Christ Link will grow and develop. We hope to have more monthly interaction and reporting with our existing clients as well as more access to trainings and tools to help effectively manage your websites. Be praying for us as we determine the next steps for Christ Link.
